2. Supporting or giving to the less fortunate ones is also one of the basic Teachings of Buddhism, and we wish to practise this, and also to encourage others to enjoy the pleasure of giving.

ACCOUNTABILITY

1.   We are a 100% volunteer charitable organization.  Nobody gets paid in this organization.

2.   Our overhead is 0% because we work from our home.  We meet at hawker’s center or wherever is convenient and free.

3.   Our registered office is currently the home address of our President. Our current President is Dr. Ng Yee Kong, Associate Professor in the Department of Anatomy, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.

4.   When you donate, you will be issued an official numbered receipt that will also indicate the project that you are supporting.

5.   Our projects do involve overseas travelling.  The cost of such travelling and its attendant cost is 100% borne by the volunteers. In other words, the volunteers donate both the time and money. This selfless giving is as a result of the volunteers’ recognition that they are in such a privileged position to give than to receive.

6.   We do not out-source any aspect of our projects.  Thus, there is no opportunity for any volunteer to take a financial interest in the outsourced business.

7.   The collection of donations and its disbursements is audited by an independent person NOT associated with any project that is benefiting from the donation.  This is to ensure absolutely transparency and objectivity. Currently the independent person is Dr. Ong Poh Seng, retired CEO of New Zealand Dairy Board Asia Region.
