- FireFly Mission donates every cent that it receives to the charitable cause for which the funds are raised.
- We are a volunteer driven organization with no overheads
- All administrative, travel, living and lodging expenses are fully borne by our volunteers.
 
     
  FireFly Mission believes in the principle of cultural relativism and
do not support projects or organisations that may attempt to convert recipients or involve in activities that disrespects local cultural dynamics

REHABILITATION WORK

this is a long-term project, where we will undertake projects to repair and rebuild some of the basic needs infrastructure, such as schools, or hospitals etc.

Long-Term Rehabilitation

-        Identified 7 schools (2 middle and 5 primary) for rebuilding – located in villages at Bogale, Dedaye, Moulmeingyun & Pyapon townships.

-        To-date one school rebuilding had been completed & the other is 70% completed

-        Identified 2 rural clinics for rebuilding – located Taman village, Bogale Township & Byingazee, Pyapon Township

Middle Schools

- Nyein Oo, Moulmeingyun Township - planned & budgeted
- Taman, Bogale Township - planned & budgeted

Primary Schools
- Shauk Chaung, Moulmeingyun Township - completed
- Ta Pyay Chaung, Moulmeingyun Township - as at 31-Jul about 70% completed
- Upper Jyophyu, Moulmeingyun Township - planned & budgeted
- Gwaygune, Dedaye Township - planned & budgeted
- Kyon Thin, Pyapon Township - planned & budgeted

Rural Clinics for Reconstructions:
- Taman, Bogale Township - planned & budgeted
- Byingazee, Pyapon Township - planned & budgeted

 

Cyclone Orphans Adoption Programme
about 20 children had been adopted & are currently placed at the Maha Pyinnya Beikman, Parahita (Charitable) Monastery, Shwegyin, Bago Division

in addition, 30 other orphans and children from very poor families from the border areas are also homed under the same institution

They are looked after by Ven Dr U Aggasara and his team of compassionate brother monks and able assistants

Plan to build 2 hostels to accommodate these children are being worked out

details of children and adoption will be released soon
