10 to 15 June 2008

Relief & Rehabilitation Team 2

our 2nd Metta & Karuna team were in villages located at the worst hit townships in the delta region of Myanmar

a common sight in villages that we visited - they really appreciated and needed our help

Team 2 & well wishers at the Changi Airport on 10 June 2008

Short Summary of things done:

We had reached out to many villages in the worst hit townships of Bogale, Pyapon, Maulmeingyun & Dedaye

To maximise the relief & rehabilitation effort, Bro Chan stays back in the Delta region for another 4-8 weeks. He will help the Venerables and our local partners/coordinators in supervising and coordinating the execution of relief & rehabilitation work.

Medicine had been distributed to Dedaye Hospital
The container will be cleared, and food items will be distributed by our partner in compassion, Eden Company in remote villages located in the Dedaye Township.
Medicine in the container will be distributed to Army Medical Corporation operated in the Pyapon Township.

The only limitations we had is our inadequate financial resources

Looking at the extent of destructions, our fund raised to date could only effectively reach out to limited number of villages

Table: Summary of Accomplishment
