Hearing
Aids Project
About 20 volunteers involved in this project, of whom majority are
medical students at the National University of Singapore and one ENT
surgeon
Donated:
• 260 Sets of Hearing Aids
• 2 sets of Audiometers to the Yangon General Hospital
• 2 Sets of Middle Ear Testers to the Yangon General Hospital
Volunteers conducted detailed screening:
• Middle Ear Test
• Audiometry Test
•
more than 2,000 people responded to this project and more than 700
pre-screened patients were informed to report to the MSBSC (our
partner at Yangon) for more detailed screening by our volunteers
• suitable cases who qualified (based on age, financial status and
jobs) were fitted with free hearing aids by our partners (MBSC and
Yangon General Hospital)
Training in Advance Audiological Trainers
Programme (December 2001)
• Sponsored the training of 3 Medical Personnels from Yangon to
attend training in Singapore
