Aids Project
- To conduct test for hearing
impairment as 1 in 10 of the people in Myanmar
(total >40 million) is suffering from
some sort of hearing impairments
- To train the medical personnel in the
use of the test equipment
- To donate hearing aids and test
equipment to the hearing impaired and hospitals
- To create awareness of the prevalence
of hearing problems &
the use of hearing aids via public
education
- To expose & engage Buddhists in
voluntary work & humanitarian service

What would be involved?
Hearing Aids Project:
- Trained manpower (a team of 10
volunteers - may expand to 15 depending on number of volunteers)
- Identify a temple or Buddhist
organization to work with on the educational programmes and two
hospitals to be recipients of the donation of hearing aids.
- Training of volunteers to begin 2
months before the mission. Siemens Medical Group Singapore will
provide training free of charge.
- Siemens Medical Group will send 2
audiologists to support the mission.
Social Voluntary Project:
- To raise a small portion of the funds
for the mission
- Publicizing of mission in Singapore
and Myanmar.
- Gathering of old clothes, food,
blankets locally
