This report summarizes the collaborative efforts of Firefly mission & its partners in providing immediate Relief & Rehabilitation works for the people of Nepal following the devastating double earthquakes in 2015.
Background –
The two earthquakes of 7.8 magnitude earthquakes that hit Nepal in April and May 2015 have caused extensive damages to the country. Tens of thousands lost their lives or are injured and hundreds of thousands of people were made homeless. The Firefly Mission has launched a Nepal Relief & Rehabilitation project to bring help to the victims. We started by working with our local partner, the Manjushri Educational Project led by Venerable Khenpo Namdrol Rinpoche for a Relief & Rehabilitation work. The focus of this project is to supply building materials to the victims in the rural and mountainous areas around Pharping, 19km south of Kathmandu.
