Ajahn Chah Remembrance Day

Yee Kong

26 Dec 2025

An unforgettable weekend of deep Dhamma and heartfelt gratitude.

Firefly Mission is humbled to have been part of the Ajahn Chah Remembrance Day 2025, beautifully organized by the Kataññuta Group of Malaysia.

Our group of 18 members joined to reflect on the teachings of Ajahn Chah—a guiding light who passed over 33 years ago, yet whose wisdom feels ever-present. The event, beginning with a tranquil alms round, set a tone of reverence and generosity.

The teachings, opened by Luang Por Liem, Ajahn Chah’s senior direct disciple, gently guided us through the nature of body and mind, the path of mindfulness, and the way to true peace. We are still absorbing the profound insights shared by an incredible lineage of monks—from senior Venerables with 40-60 years of monastic life to inspiring younger teachers. Special thanks to the translators who bridged languages with care, allowing the Dhamma to resonate in both Chinese and English.

To sit in the presence of such a noble Sangha is a rare gift and a testament to the enduring legacy of Ajahn Chah.

Sadhu Sadhu Sadhu Anumodana to Bro Mah Siew Sian and the entire Kataññuta team. Your devotion and generosity made this luminous gathering possible.

With folded palms,

Firefly Mission
