President
Dr Ng Yee Kong
Yee Kong is an Associate Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He is one of the founding members of Firefly Mission and is instrumental in charting the growth of the organisation since its inception in 2001. His wife, Mok Siang is highly supportive and together with their 4 children are frequent participants in FFM’s overseas humanitarian missions.

William Yeoh Oon Siew
William spent 30 years with Citibank and The Gillette Company and is now a business consultant, specializing in business process improvements. Since retiring, he and his wife, Corina have become active FFM volunteers. They are our regular hosts for the FFM Exco/Coordinators meetings.

Michelle Lee Beng Tzen
Michelle and her family first connected with Firefly Mission in 2008 during a trip to Maesot, sparking a lasting commitment. Since then, Michelle and her husband Daniel have been dedicated volunteers and regular participants in FFM's overseas missions. With a background in financial accounting and a Certified Public Accountant designation, Michelle brings a wealth of experience from her former management role in the manufacturing industry. Now retired, Michelle continues to passionately serve and support the mission of Firefly Mission.

Rene Cho
Rene works in the financial service sector. He started with FFM since 2006 with the purpose of introducing his daughters to humanitarian works and Buddhism. He was the coordinator for the Sasanarakkha Buddhist Sanctuary (SBS) Kathina from 2007 - 2014 and has been on numerous FFM's trips around the region.

Transiting towards retirement, he is currently part of FFM's team of coordinators for Thailand Projects. He humbly believes being with FFM and her kalynamittas (spiritual friends) has been a most beneficial and worthwhile journey for his own personal and spiritual development.

Low Siew Kiang
Siew Kiang is one of the founding members of FFM. With over 25 years of experience in the banking industry, Siew Kiang retired and then dedicated two years to working with a local charity organization before retiring again in August 2013. Her commitment to FFM is a family affair, involving participation in numerous trips and projects, including her late mother. Siew Kiang's extensive experience and dedication to charitable work make her an invaluable asset to FFM.

Koh Hwe Tong
Hwe Tong began his volunteer journey with Firefly Mission (FFM) following his first mission trip to Sri Lanka in June 2017. His career before this was marked by significant roles and contributions. He spent 20 years with a local Multi-National Company in the travel industry holding various management positions. He then transitioned to a Regional Trainer role with an American investment bank where he applied his experience in a new context.
After his stint in the financial sector, Hwe Tong shifted to the social service sector. He joined the National Council of Social Service and later worked for a Local Voluntary Welfare Organization (VWO), spending a total of 8 years in the social service sector. Additionally, he served as an associate trainer with the Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS). He retired in 2016.
His subsequent volunteering reflects a strong commitment to community service.

Lim Meng Seng
Lim Meng Seng is a retired police officer with a strong commitment to volunteerism. He first joined the FFM on a trip to Myanmar in 2004, and his dedication led him to serve as the Country Co-Coordinator for projects in Cambodia and Thailand. Meng Seng's leadership and experience have been instrumental in the success and growth of FFM's initiatives in these regions.

Arnold Lee Heng Cheong
Arnold is a Director of Marketing & Business Strategy with a listed Singapore company. He is a civil engineer by training, which makes him a good fit for the numerous construction projects undertaken by FFM. In the wake of Cyclone Nargis in 2008, he led the first FFM team on-the-ground in Myanmar just two weeks after the storm. His is also a whole family involvement; he and his wife, Patsy, both their mothers and children are regular participants.

Serene Sia
Serene is an experienced business leader with over 20 years in the IT industry. Her strong track record of delivering outstanding results and building strong teams constantly has earned her a reputation as a true top performer in a high performance organisation. Together with her 2 daughters, Vanessa and Vivienne, they are active supporters of FFM participating in overseas trips since 2013. Serene wishes to apply Buddhism principles in her life and is ready to contribute to FFM projects.

Melinda Ng
Melinda is an accomplished Career Development Coach who is passionate about helping others achieve life fulfillment. Her role as the Myanmar Children Sponsorship Coordinator has enabled many Singaporeans to find their own sense of purpose through sponsoring children in Myanmar.
Melinda involvement in FFM began during the Myanmar trip in December 2013. With her husband and daughters' support, the family actively participates in local and overseas FFM activities. Melinda also dedicates her time as Dharma Teacher at Kong Meng San Dharma School during the weekends.

Priscilla Lim
Pricilla is a seasoned senior regional corporate banker with 25 years of experience serving multinationals at a leading global American bank. Prior to this, she spent 8 years in audit and compliance at a top audit firm and bank.

In addition to her professional expertise, Priscilla is deeply committed to her bank's volunteering and philanthropy efforts. She has co-chaired the Singapore Philanthropy Committee and served as a key member of the Singapore Community Volunteer Executive Committee for over 15 years. She also currently co-chair Asia Culture and Engagement Committee for Corporate Banking. Her outstanding contributions have earned her several prestigious awards, including the Global Volunteer Award in 2018 and the Global Diversity and Inclusion Award in 2021. In September 2023, Priscilla was honored by House of Rose Professional as one of "Asia's Most Inspirational Women in Leadership."

Goh Kuan Seng
Goh Kuan Seng retired over 10 years ago after working for 30 years with Singtel. He used to handle their sales support for India market for over 5 years, skills which make him a natural choice as the FFM coordinator for Bangladesh projects. Bro Goh’s own passion in photography started almost 20 years ago. His wife, Ai Lan is also an active supporter of FFM, together with their two sons too.

Lim Jee Peng
Jee Peng is a Senior Director of Engineering at a medical device company with over 26 years of diverse industry experience.
Jee Peng has been actively involved with FFM since 2005. His dedication to volunteering is evident in his current role as the 'Creative Coordinator' for FFM. In this capacity, he takes charge of producing annual presentation videos, managing external publicity materials, and overseeing the creation and maintenance of the FFM website.

In addition to that, Jee Peng is also leading the Mexico Dhammaduta project, a significant initiative aimed at community outreach in Mexico and LATAM. This project reflects his commitment to bringing positive change and support where it's needed most, demonstrating his passion to serve and help others.

Elizabeth Kheh Lay Hoon
Elizabeth is a dynamic and inspiring lady with 30 years of expertise in managing logistics. Currently working in a large German conglomerate, she is known for her boundless energy and passion for well-being. Elizabeth founded weekly Mindful Hiking sessions, curating unique forest bathing experiences that rejuvenate the mind and body. Her commitment to making a difference is evident in her leadership of Pink Ribbon walks, where she raised awareness for breast cancer and garnered significant funds for the Cancer Society. Elizabeth also brings her adventurous spirit to planning trips to Malaysia Kathina, always motivating others with her high energy and infectious enthusiasm.

In pursuit of personal growth and service to others, she has taken up counseling lessons, further strengthening her resilience and deepening her ability to support those around her.

Eason Ku
Eason Ku participated his first Laos Trip with Firefly Mission in 2016, after that, he serves Laos Project Group as a trip coordinator. Eason has passion in videography, he filmed the activities during the trips to Laos and hopes those videos can inspire more people to participate in humanitarian works with Firefly Mission.

Ng Lay Hoon
Lay Hoon is a volunteer lay Dhamma Teacher and also has been actively involved in translating Dhamma books. Her journey with Firefly Mission began in 2004, when she joined a humanitarian trip to Myanmar. Inspired by FFM's "Dhamma-in-action", she was motivated to volunteer with the group.

Bob Ang
Bob, a Technical Service Engineer and now semi-retired. He is a member of Tzu Chi for 12 years and an Exco member of Community Emergency & Engagement group (C2E) with Keat Hong CC for 10 years. He also volunteered in Uttamayanmuni Buddhist Temple in his free time.
Bob joined Firefly Mission since Laos Mission trip in 2017. ​Later wife Wendy and daughter June, were also involved in some of the yearly programs with FFM. Bob is currently assisting in organizing Laos mission trips for FFM.

Janet Ho
Janet spent 35 years working in the electronics industry specialising in Sourcing and Procurement in Southeast Asia region. Since retiring in 2015, she has been an active FFM volunteer in both local and overseas works.

Wynne Chia
Wynne started as a volunteer with Firefly Mission's Laos trip in 2016. She is a successful entrepreneur and has started many businesses previously in Singapore. The professional cleaning business she founded is still operating and growing under her next generation. She is a regular volunteer with Firefly Mission's overseas missions and the one of the main coordinators in the Mooncake team.

Daniel Loh
Daniel is a Mechanical Engineer by training,and spent almost 20 years in the Chemicals Industry. He was Managing Director for Malaysia-Singapore & Indonesia-Philippines at BASF. Daniel was featured as Indonesia's top foreign CEOs by Warta Ekonomi 2018. Daniel’s last position was the President Chemicals, Asia with HELM AG, before retiring in June 2023. Daniel now sits on the board of a Singapore public listed company as an Independent Director.
Together with his wife, Michelle, and their 3 sons, they have been active with Firefly Mission since 2008. Being based outside Singapore almost the entire last decade, they still remained active volunteers.
Laos Local Coordinator
Peter K. H.
Peter has dedicated the past 30 years of his life to living and working in Laos. From 2000 to 2015, he successfully ran the Dragon Lodge Guesthouse, becoming a beloved figure in the community. However, it is his work after the guesthouse lease expired that truly defines his inspiring journey.
Peter has devoted himself wholeheartedly to humanitarian efforts, coordinating Overseas Community Improvement Projects (OCIP) and Youth Expedition Projects (YEP) for Singapore schools since 2000. His passion for making a difference led him to collaborate with Firefly Mission Singapore in 2013, where he continues to impact countless lives. Through his tireless dedication, Peter exemplifies the power of commitment and compassion in transforming communities.
