FFM - Laos 2025

FFM has just completed its inspiring 11th mission to Laos — a journey overflowing with hope, humility, and moments that touched us deeply.

Over 8 unforgettable days, we travelled through Vientiane, Savanakhet, and Champasak revisiting 8 completed schools and handing over 3 newly built ones. Many journeys took 2–3 hours along quiet, dusty, bumpy roads. Yet with every mile travelled, our hearts grew softer, and our purpose felt clearer.

Our 34 volunteers—ranging from 17 to 84 years old—came with one intention: to uplift children’s lives through education.

The welcome we received by the children’s shy smiles, their bright eyes, the way they held our hands so gently yet so tightly—every gesture spoke of gratitude and hope.

We brought sports equipment, gave angpows to teachers, distributed goodies, danced the Chicken Dance, and shared Metta as we sang Boundless Love.

But the most precious moments were not the gifts we gave…But the love they returned in the smiles of the children and the joy in their faces. Many hearts were deeply touched and even tears of joy, reminding us of why we serve.

In rural Laos, where less than 25% complete high school, the need is great. FFM has now built 35 schools and supported 3 more. Every morning, 10,000 children walk into FFM-supported schools—safe, welcomed, included, and given something priceless: A chance to change their future—and their family’s future.

And when you look into their eyes, you realise…that chance means everything.

Because in those small faces glows a truth that humbles us.
