FFM National Day Hike

Eighty vibrant hearts, ready to stride,

A roaring wave of red-and-white pride!

For our Singapore National Day walk, side by side,

Organised by Firefly Mission with passion and pride!

This August 9, under bright sunny skies,

We stepped out strong as the fireflies rise!

Bro Meng Seng and Sis Elizabeth mapped out the chart,

With Bro Hwee Tong’s flags for us all to wave,

And Sis Elizabeth’s treats for the energy we crave!

Bro Goh and Bro CP snapped photos so fine,

Bro Jee Peng filmed videos down the line,

While Bro Yee Kong brought high-tech 360 flair,

Spinning all around to capture us there!

Our crew was sporty, attentive, and grand,

Full of fun-loving kindness across the land!

Bro Arnold led our Anthem, clear and grand,

Sis Teng Teng led the Pledge for our beloved land,

And Bro Elvis boomed out a legendary call:

"MAJULAH SINGAPURA!"—cheered by us all!

At every stop along the trail,

Sis Priscilla unpacked a history tale!

We marched through time with stories galore,

Learning and laughing as we did explore!

Then to our final, grand stop we drew—

The SMU Bodhi Tree, peaceful and true!

The perfect sanctuary, sacred and calm,

Resting our spirits like a gentle balm.

Under its canopy, wide and grand,

We sang out our hearts for our home and our land!

Then gathered close for a birthday so sweet,

To give Sis Siew Kiang a celebration treat!

Sis Marilyn presented art pieces so dear—

Handmade, meaningful gifts of cheer,

Heartfelt thanks for a special few,

Crafted with love through and through!

We sang, we laughed, with spirits so free—

One Firefly Mission family in unity!
