Bringing Light to Sri Lanka
We are incredibly humbled to share the impact of our recent mission with SLACO (Association of Community Ophthalmologists of Sri Lanka). Thanks to our partnership with Dr. Asela Abeydeera and his team, we were able to make a tangible difference in the lives of 50 individuals.
Our journey took us to Moratuwa for a vital community eye camp, where we provided screenings for children and the elderly alike. The true highlight was sponsoring 50 cataract surgeries at the Lions Sight First Hospital in Wattala—restoring not just sight, but hope.
Our volunteers didn't just fund the procedures; they were there holding hands in the corridors, offering comfort, and distributing care packages (complete with a special FFM tote bag and T-shirt) to every patient. We also made sure to honor the incredible nurses and hospital staff who worked tirelessly alongside us.
The mission ended the only way it could—with tears of joy and a chorus of "Boundless Love" sung together by volunteers, doctors, and our new Sri Lankan friends.
Thank you to everyone who supported us. This is what "making a difference in the lives of others" truly looks like.
