*A Joyous Reunion: Firefly Mission Celebrates CNY 2026!*
What a beautiful day it was! On 1st March, over 460 of our amazing Firefly Mission family—members, volunteers, donors, and supporters—gathered at Jubilee Garden, SAFRA Toa Payoh, to usher in the Year of the Horse.
It was more than just a lunch; it was a day of warm reunions, heartfelt reflections, and joyful celebrations. The festivities kicked off with a special appearance (from Heaven) by our very own Cai Shen (God of Wealth), followed by an energetic “Heng! Ong! Huat!” cheer led by our dynamic MC, Sis Melinda. We then kicked off the feast with a loud and joyous Yu Sheng toss, symbolizing abundance for the year ahead.
This year’s gathering was extra special as we took a moment to reflect on the impact of our work across Asia.
Laos: Bros William & Eason moved us with a video summary of our work, followed by a deep, reflective sharing from Bro Raymond Ang on the education projects close to his heart.
Thai Border: Bro Daniel shared a touching and well-coordinated update on our projects in Tak. The segment was beautifully complemented by a poignant video from Bro Daniel and Sis Michelle, set to a meaningful FFM song written by our talented young volunteers, Leo Kit Yi and Leo Yug Chean.
Bhutan: Sis Serene took us down memory lane, highlighting 15 years of compassionate partnership with the Bhutan Nuns Foundation, led by the inspiring Sis (Dr.) Tashi Zangmo.
A Look Back & Beyond: Bro Yee Kong gave a powerful overview of our last 25 years, spanning 15 countries in the areas of Education, Dhammaduta, Healthcare, Community Welfare and Disaster Relief. We also shared quick updates on our work in Bangladesh (coordinated by Bro Goh Kuan Seng) and Myanmar (coordinated by Sis Melinda).
The sharing segment concluded with a touching and inspiring summary video of our work in 2025, masterfully produced by Bro Jee Peng.
We also took a moment to celebrate the heart of Firefly Mission—the dedicated individuals who have tirelessly led these projects for over two decades. Their faces reflect our mission.
The afternoon ended on a perfect note with two of our theme songs: "_If We Hold On Together_" and "_Boundless Love_" —a beautiful reminder of our shared purpose.
“Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu”
“May All Beings be Well and Happy”
To all our guests, thank you for your unwavering support, trust, and generosity. It is because of you that we can continue to Build Lives, Give Hope, and Create Future.
… together we light up the world.
See you at the FFM Chinese New Year Gathering 2027!
