Lighting Up the World, One Project at a Time
Reflections by Sis. Priscilla Lim
Meeting Highlights – 4 July 2026
On Saturday, our FFM family gathered for our monthly meeting—a day filled with purpose, reflection, and (as always) some wonderful food!
We began the right way—with puja and meditation—to center ourselves before diving into several hours of discussions on the communities we support across 10 countries, including Bangladesh, India, Mexico, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.
Key Agenda Updates:
- Bangladesh: Approved funding to complete the girls’ hostel at Lotus Children’s Home, with careful navigation of rising costs to keep the project on track.
- India: Reflected on the progress of the Kinnaur Traditional Medical Centre.
- Laos & Thailand: Received updates on our school projects.
- Upcoming Expeditions: Discussed plans for our upcoming trips to Sri Lanka, Laos, and Thailand in the coming months.
- Major Events: Gearing up for the MahaSanghika Dana at RPMC, Kulai in September, and Kathina celebrations at Udon Thani and Santi Forest Monastery, Ulu Tiram.
- Welfare Support: Reviewed support for our brothers and sisters in Cambodia (Funeral Support), Myanmar (Children Support), and beyond—ensuring no one is forgotten.
- Recent Impact: Reflected on the outcomes of our recent Silk Road II trip in Southern Xinjiang, China.
We closed the formal session with a beautiful transference of merits, followed by a delicious pot-luck dinner filled with laughter and sharing. The perfect finale? Mao Shang Wang durians from Pahang and Kulai!
A huge SADHU to our committee members, coordinators, and volunteers. Your tireless dedication is what makes this world a better place.
